This notice explains how Ufik, a personal handcraft studio app for iPhone, handles information when you document projects, capture process photos, organize materials, and explore your finished work on device.
Ufik is designed as a local-first craft journal and project workspace. You can use the app without creating an account, signing in, or maintaining a profile with us. The projects, photos, notes, and preferences you add are primarily stored on the device you use unless you choose to export content to your photo library or interact with Apple platform services described below.
We do not operate a mandatory cloud account for Ufik and do not require registration to access core studio features such as project hubs, journals, materials lists, step cards, session timers, the workbench view, or the inspiration shelf.
Depending on how you use the app, Ufik may process the following categories of information on your device:
This information is generated by your activity inside Ufik and is used to present your studio, keep your records organized, and support features you choose to use.
Ufik requests access to certain iOS capabilities only when needed for a feature you initiate. You may decline a permission, although related functionality may not work as intended.
Project structures, journal metadata, timer history, and related studio data are stored locally using on-device database and file storage mechanisms. Images you add are saved within the app's private storage area on your iPhone unless you export them to the Photos app.
Preference values and certain lightweight counters may be stored in local device settings storage. Clearing app data from within Ufik settings or removing the app from your device will affect locally stored studio content and preferences according to the action you take.
Core Ufik workflows, including browsing projects, editing journals, using the workbench, and reviewing finished work on the inspiration shelf, do not require you to upload craft content to a Ufik-operated server for basic operation.
Ufik relies on Apple platform frameworks for device permissions, optional tracking authorization, local notifications, and platform-managed commerce flows handled by Apple when you use features that interact with the App Store billing environment. Apple processes such interactions under its own terms and privacy policies. We do not control Apple's independent handling of device identifiers, receipts, or platform analytics that Apple may collect according to your device settings.
We do not embed third-party advertising networks or social login providers in Ufik based on the current app design.

We do not use your craft journal content to train generative AI models within the current Ufik product scope.
Your studio records remain on your device until you edit or delete them, use the in-app data clearing option, or remove the app. Exported photos saved to your library remain in Photos according to your own device management choices.
If you contact us, we may retain correspondence for a reasonable period to address your request and maintain basic operational records, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to a local-first mobile app, including storing craft files within the iOS app sandbox and relying on Apple's platform security controls for device-level protection. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely free from risk, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, or alteration will never occur.

Because Ufik does not use a mandatory account system, privacy requests tied to an online profile are generally addressed through device-level controls and the actions available inside the app.
Ufik is intended for personal hobby documentation and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through a Ufik account system because no such account is required. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through direct contact, please email ateliernotes@getufik.com and we will review the matter using reasonable efforts.
Ufik is published for use on Apple mobile devices and may be accessed from various regions. If you use the app outside the United States, you understand that information stored on your device is handled according to this policy and applicable local laws that may apply to you and to us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or operational practices. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date shown near the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice inside the app or through other reasonable means. Continued use of Ufik after an updated effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
