Rules for using the Ufik handcraft studio app on iPhone.
Ufik is a personal hobby studio application that helps you document handmade projects on your iPhone. The app may allow you to create craft projects, attach photos, maintain process and finished journals, list materials, follow step cards, time sessions, interact with a workbench experience, review finished work on an inspiration shelf, adjust studio preferences, and export selected images to your photo library when you choose to do so.
Ufik is intended for personal creative documentation. It is not professional instruction, safety certification, tool training, or medical or therapeutic guidance.
You may use Ufik only if you can form a binding contract in your place of residence and you comply with these terms and applicable law. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Ufik only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf.
You are responsible for the device on which Ufik is installed and for maintaining appropriate control over that device.
Ufik does not require you to register, log in, or maintain a user account with us to access the app. Studio records and preferences are handled on your device as described in the Ufik Privacy Policy. You are responsible for safeguarding your device and any content you store in the app.
Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Ufik on Apple-branded devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial hobby use and in accordance with Apple's App Store terms and applicable usage rules.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, rent, lease, sublicense, sell, or distribute Ufik or any part of it except as expressly permitted by law or by Apple’s applicable platform terms.
You retain ownership of photos, titles, notes, and other content you create or upload in Ufik. You are solely responsible for your content and for ensuring that you have the rights needed to use, store, and export it through the app.
By adding content to Ufik, you grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display that content locally on your device and to perform technical operations necessary to operate the app features you choose to use. This license ends when you delete the content or remove the app, subject to routine backup, caching, or residual copies that may remain temporarily under iOS behavior.
You agree not to misuse Ufik. Without limiting the foregoing, you must not:
We may restrict or discontinue access to Ufik if we reasonably believe you have violated these rules or applicable law, to the extent permitted by platform and legal constraints applicable to a locally installed app distributed through Apple.
Ufik is made available through Apple's App Store ecosystem. Your use of the app is also subject to Apple's applicable terms, policies, and device rules. Apple is not a party to these Terms of Use except as required by Apple's platform policies, and Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for Ufik unless Apple is separately required to do so.
The app may include Apple system frameworks, device permissions, and platform dialogs that operate under Apple's control. References to third-party materials are limited to platform components necessary for app operation and do not imply endorsement of external services beyond what the app actually integrates.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of Ufik at any time, including features such as the workbench view, inspiration shelf, timer tools, or export options. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or compatibility with every device configuration, iOS version, or future hardware release.
Updates may be delivered through the App Store. Some updates may be required for continued use or security reasons.
Craft activities may involve sharp tools, heat, chemicals, small parts, or other hazards depending on your chosen medium. Ufik does not supervise your workspace and does not verify the accuracy, completeness, or safety of your notes, step cards, or project plans.
You are solely responsible for following safe practices, manufacturer instructions, local regulations, and your own judgment when making, storing, or displaying handmade items. Do not rely on Ufik as a substitute for qualified instruction where specialized skills or safety training are required.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ufik is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the app will meet your expectations, preserve data under all circumstances, or operate without interruption or loss. You are responsible for maintaining backups of important content through exports or other methods you consider appropriate.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we and our affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use Ufik, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or relating to Ufik or these terms will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid to us for app-related services in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty U.S. dollars, except where applicable law requires a different result.
You may stop using Ufik at any time by discontinuing use and deleting the app from your device. We may suspend or terminate your ability to use future versions of the app if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the product, subject to applicable law and Apple distribution requirements.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law, will survive.
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles that would require application of another jurisdiction's laws, except where mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence require otherwise.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or Ufik that cannot be resolved informally should be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, unless applicable law grants you the right to bring claims in your home jurisdiction. You and we consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts, except where prohibited by mandatory law.
We may revise these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date and may provide notice through the app or other reasonable means. Your continued use of Ufik after the revised effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms, except where applicable law requires a different approach.
